Description

A delicious and hearty soup featuring tender beef and flavorful broth, inspired by traditional Chinese cuisine.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with water (for thickening)


Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring the beef broth to a boil.
  2. Add ground beef, cooking until browned.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, ginger, mushrooms, and carrot.
  4. Reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Slowly add the beaten egg while stirring to create ribbons.
  6. Mix in the cornstarch mixture to thicken, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat, then stir in sesame oil and green onions.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes
