Description

A delicious and tender venison tenderloin topped with a rich garlic herb butter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound venison tenderloin
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the venison tenderloin with salt and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat and sear the tenderloin on all sides.
  4. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 15-20 minutes, or until desired doneness.
  5. In a bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic and chopped herbs.
  6. Once the venison is cooked, remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Top the tenderloin with the prepared garlic herb butter before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Be sure to let the meat rest before slicing to retain its juices.
  • Adjust the herbs and seasoning to your taste.
