Description

A flavorful and tender lamb dish inspired by traditional Turkish cuisine.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lamb shoulder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and garlic, sauté until soft.
  3. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the lamb shoulder, browning on all sides.
  5. Pour in beef broth, then add cumin, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover.
  7. Simmer for 2 hours or until the lamb is tender.
  8. Serve garnished with fresh parsley.
