Description

A deliciously smoked turkey infused with flavors and accompanied by smoked stuffing for the perfect holiday meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 whole turkey (12-14 pounds)
  • 2 cups smoked breadcrumbs
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your Traeger grill to 225°F.
  2. Prepare the stuffing by sautéing the onion, celery, and garlic in olive oil until soft. Mix in smoked breadcrumbs, chicken broth, herbs, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stuff the turkey with the prepared stuffing and place lemon halves in the cavity.
  4. Rub the turkey skin with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Place the turkey on the grill and smoke for about 30 minutes per pound or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
