Description

Delicious and crispy tallow-fried scallops, perfect as an appetizer or a main dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound scallops
  • 1 cup beef tallow
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Heat beef tallow in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Pat the scallops dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Once the tallow is hot, carefully add the scallops to the skillet.
  4. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove the scallops from the skillet and drizzle with lemon juice before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure your scallops are thoroughly dried for a better sear.
  • If you don’t have beef tallow, you can substitute with another high-smoke point oil.
