Instructions
- Peel the plantains and slice them diagonally into thick pieces.
- Heat the beef tallow in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry the plantain slices in the hot tallow until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Season the steak with salt and black pepper.
- In the same skillet, add the steak and cook to your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
- Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve the sliced steak alongside the fried plantains.
