- 2 pounds beef neck
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and rice vinegar.
- Add beef neck to the marinade and let it sit for at least 1 hour, or overnight in the refrigerator for best results.
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Place the marinated beef neck in a roasting pan and cover tightly with foil.
- Cook in the oven for about 3 hours until the meat is tender.
- Remove from oven, and take the beef out and let it rest.
- Prepare the sauce by boiling the marinade in a saucepan. Mix cornstarch with water and add to the boiling marinade, stirring until thickened.
- Slice the beef neck and serve drizzled with the sauce.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding chili flakes to the marinade.
