Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the filet mignon with salt and pepper.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  4. Add garlic and thyme to the skillet.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for about 5-10 minutes for medium-rare.
  6. Baste the steaks with the remaining butter before serving.
