Description

A delicious and zesty dish featuring orecchiette pasta and spicy shrimp.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces orecchiette pasta
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan for serving


Instructions

  1. Cook the orecchiette according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Stir in the cherry tomatoes and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Combine the cooked orecchiette with the shrimp mixture; toss well.
  7. Add fresh basil and season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve hot with grated Parmesan on top.
