- 8 ounces orecchiette pasta
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan for serving
Instructions
- Cook the orecchiette according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the cherry tomatoes and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Combine the cooked orecchiette with the shrimp mixture; toss well.
- Add fresh basil and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot with grated Parmesan on top.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the spice level by varying the amount of red pepper flakes.
- This dish can be paired well with a side salad or crusty bread.
