Description

Spicy Korean Fire Chicken, also known as Buldak, is a fiery dish from Korea made with chicken marinated in a spicy sauce and grilled or stir-fried until crispy.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 2 tablespoons gochugaru (Korean red chili pepper flakes)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine gochugaru, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar to create the marinade.
  2. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and add to the marinade, mixing well. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat and cook the chicken until browned and cooked through.
  4. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the cooked chicken and cover the pan until the cheese melts.
  5. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with steamed rice for a complete meal.
  • Adjust the amount of gochugaru for preferred spice level.
