Description

Delicious spiced lamb stuffed in pita pockets, served with a refreshing tzatziki sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground lamb
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce


Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the ground lamb over medium heat until browned.
  2. Add cumin, coriander, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine and cook for another 5 minutes.
  3. Warm the pita breads in a dry skillet.
  4. Stuff each pita with the spiced lamb, diced tomatoes, and shredded lettuce.
  5. Drizzle with tzatziki sauce before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, let the lamb marinate for a few hours before cooking.
  • Serve with extra tzatziki on the side.
