Description

A creamy and flavorful spread made with smoked trout, perfect for serving on crackers or toast.


Ingredients

  • 200 grams smoked trout, skin removed and flaked
  • 100 grams cream cheese
  • 50 grams unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon capers, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the smoked trout, cream cheese, and butter, and mix until smooth.
  2. Add lemon juice, dill, capers, salt, and pepper to the mixture and stir until well combined.
  3. Transfer the rillettes to a serving dish, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  4. Serve with crackers or toasted bread.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • This spread can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
