Description

A hearty and flavorful soup made with smoked tongue, perfect for warming up on a cold day.


Ingredients

  • 1 smoked tongue
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 sprigs thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt to taste


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the smoked tongue and beef broth.
  2. Add carrots, onion, celery, garlic, and seasonings.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 2 hours.
  4. Remove the tongue and let it cool slightly before slicing.
  5. Return sliced tongue to the soup and serve warm.
