- 3-4 pounds beef chuck roast
- 2 tablespoons black pepper
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together all the spices to create the black rub.
- Rub the spice mix generously over the beef chuck roast.
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F.
- Place the beef in the smoker and cook for about 6-8 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 190°F.
- Remove from smoker and let it rest for 30 minutes before shredding.
- Mix shredded beef with beef broth and lime juice before serving.
