Slow-roasted beef cheeks are a tender and flavorful dish that is perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef cheeks
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 2 sprigs thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a large oven-safe pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Season beef cheeks with salt and pepper, then brown them on all sides in the pot.
  4. Add onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and red wine, bringing to a simmer.
  6. Add rosemary and thyme, then cover the pot and transfer to the oven.
  7. Roast for 3 to 4 hours, or until the beef is fork-tender.
  8. Remove from oven, let rest for a few minutes, then serve.
