Description

This Slow-Rendered Duck Fat Toffee is a unique and indulgent treat that showcases the rich flavor of duck fat in a sweet, salted version.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup duck fat
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the duck fat and sugar over medium heat, stirring until dissolved.
  2. Add the heavy cream and salt, and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer until the mixture reaches a golden color, about 15-20 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Pour into a lined baking dish and let cool until set.
