- 1 pound calf liver
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, sliced
Instructions
- Soak the calf liver in milk for 1 hour.
- Drain and pat dry, then season with salt and pepper.
- Coat the liver slices in flour.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add the liver and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Remove the liver and sauté the onions in the same skillet until soft.
- Serve the liver topped with sautéed onions.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add garlic to the butter before cooking the liver.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or a side salad for a complete meal.
