Description

This tender and flavorful slow-roasted beef brisket is perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 pounds beef brisket
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the brisket with salt and pepper and sear on both sides until browned.
  3. Place the brisket in a roasting pan. Add garlic, onions, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and thyme around the meat.
  4. Cover with foil and roast in the oven for approximately 4 hours, or until the meat is tender.
  5. Remove from oven, let rest for 20 minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

  • For best flavor, marinate the brisket overnight.
