This tender and flavorful slow-roasted beef brisket is perfect for holiday gatherings.

- 5 pounds beef brisket
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the brisket with salt and pepper and sear on both sides until browned.
- Place the brisket in a roasting pan. Add garlic, onions, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and thyme around the meat.
- Cover with foil and roast in the oven for approximately 4 hours, or until the meat is tender.
- Remove from oven, let rest for 20 minutes, then slice and serve.
Notes
- For best flavor, marinate the brisket overnight.
- Leftovers can be made into sandwiches or tacos.
