- 2 Scotch fillet steaks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and allow them to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
- In the last minute of cooking, add the butter, garlic, and parsley to the pan.
- Baste the steaks with the garlic butter for the last minute of cooking.
- Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a more intense flavor, marinate the steaks in garlic and herbs for a few hours before cooking.
- Pair with your choice of sides such as roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
