Description

Delicious and crispy sardines fried in rich duck fat, perfect as an appetizer or main dish.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 sardines, cleaned
  • 1/2 cup duck fat
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice


Instructions

  1. Heat duck fat in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season sardines with salt and pepper.
  3. Fry sardines in the hot duck fat for about 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove sardines from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
  5. Drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
