Description

A flavorful and tender brisket dish seasoned with peppercorns and baked in salt.


Ingredients

  • 1 whole brisket
  • 2 cups kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon black peppercorns
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the kosher salt, black peppercorns, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and rosemary.
  3. Place the brisket in a roasting pan and coat it evenly with the salt mixture.
  4. Cover the brisket completely with remaining salt.
  5. Bake for approximately 3-4 hours or until tender.
  6. Allow the brisket to rest before removing the salt crust.
