Description
Delicious Salisbury steak made with ground beef, served with a rich mushroom gravy.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- ¼ cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into patties.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add patties and cook for about 5 minutes on each side until browned.
- Remove the patties and set aside. In the same skillet, add cream of mushroom soup and water. Stir well.
- Return the patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Serve hot with gravy poured over the top.
Notes
- For added flavor, let the patties rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal.
