- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup fresh sage leaves
- 2 ripe pears, sliced

- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until it begins to brown.
- Add the sage leaves and stir for a minute until fragrant.
- Season the quail with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet.
- Brown the quail on all sides, then transfer to a baking dish.
- Arrange the sliced pears around the quail.
- Drizzle the browned butter and sage over the quail and pears.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until quail is cooked through.
