Description

A delicious combination of sage, brown butter, quail, and pear for a gourmet dish.


Ingredients

  • 4 quail
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup fresh sage leaves
  • 2 ripe pears, sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until it begins to brown.
  3. Add the sage leaves and stir for a minute until fragrant.
  4. Season the quail with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet.
  5. Brown the quail on all sides, then transfer to a baking dish.
  6. Arrange the sliced pears around the quail.
  7. Drizzle the browned butter and sage over the quail and pears.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until quail is cooked through.
