- 1 cup tallow
- 1/2 teaspoon saffron threads
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Instructions
- Heat the tallow in a saucepan until melted.
- Add saffron threads and allow to steep for 10 minutes.
- Season the halibut fillets with salt and pepper.
- Carefully lower the fillets into the tallow and poach for about 8-10 minutes, until cooked through.
- Drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
