Description

Ingredients

  • 4 fillets halibut
  • 1 cup tallow
  • 1/2 teaspoon saffron threads
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice


Instructions

  1. Heat the tallow in a saucepan until melted.
  2. Add saffron threads and allow to steep for 10 minutes.
  3. Season the halibut fillets with salt and pepper.
  4. Carefully lower the fillets into the tallow and poach for about 8-10 minutes, until cooked through.
  5. Drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
