Description

A deliciously roasted chicken with a flavorful red spice rub.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken.
  4. Place the chicken in a roasting pan and roast for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Let rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving.
