Description

Delicious roasted duck leg served with a crispy prosciutto shard for added texture and flavor.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 duck legs
  • 2 slices prosciutto
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup duck or chicken broth


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the duck legs with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the duck legs until golden brown.
  4. Remove the duck and sauté onions and garlic in the same skillet.
  5. Add the broth and return the duck legs to the skillet.
  6. Bake in the oven for about 1 hour, or until cooked through.
  7. In the last 10 minutes, add prosciutto slices on top of the duck legs and allow to crisp up.
  8. Serve hot with the crispy prosciutto shard.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil the duck legs for a few minutes after baking.
  • Pair with roasted vegetables or a side salad.
