Description

Enjoy a delicious, protein-rich twist on pizza with these easy-to-make hot pockets.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup rye flour
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, rye flour, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add olive oil and water, mix until a dough forms.
  4. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Roll out the dough and cut into squares.
  6. Place a spoonful of chicken, cheese, pizza sauce, and Italian seasoning on each square.
  7. Fold over and seal the edges.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • You can substitute cooked turkey for chicken if preferred.
