Description

A delicious stuffing roast made with pine nuts and suet, perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pine nuts
  • 2 cups stale bread, cubed
  • 1 cup suet, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 cup vegetable broth


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, sauté the onion and carrot until soft.
  3. In a large bowl, combine bread, suet, pine nuts, sautéed vegetables, thyme, salt, pepper, and parsley.
  4. Pour in the vegetable broth and mix until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, substitute suet with butter or olive oil.
  • This stuffing can be prepared a day in advance and baked just before serving.
