Description

A savory terrine combining the unique flavor of pickled walnuts with rich veal.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup pickled walnuts
  • 1 pound ground veal
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground veal, chopped pickled walnuts, heavy cream, eggs, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a terrine mold.
  5. Bake in a water bath for 60-70 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a more intense flavor, use homemade pickled walnuts.
  • Let the terrine sit in the fridge overnight for better slicing.
