Description

This Pan-Seared Duck Breast is enhanced with a flavorful thyme butter, perfect for a special occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 duck breasts
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Score the skin of the duck breasts and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the duck breasts skin-side down in a cold skillet, then turn the heat to medium.
  3. Cook for 6-8 minutes until the skin is crispy and rendered, then flip and cook for another 4-6 minutes.
  4. Remove the duck from the skillet and let it rest.
  5. In the same skillet, add butter and thyme, and cook until fragrant.
  6. Slice the duck and serve with the thyme butter drizzled on top.
