Description

Enjoy the exquisite flavors of Northern Lights Seared Ahi Tuna, a dish that’s both simple and elegant.


Ingredients

  • 2 ahi tuna steaks
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon wasabi paste
  • 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, wasabi paste, rice vinegar, ginger, and green onions.
  2. Marinate the tuna steaks in the mixture for 20-30 minutes.
  3. Combine black and white sesame seeds on a plate.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Coat the tuna steaks with sesame seeds on all sides.
  6. Sear the tuna for about 1-2 minutes on each side for rare, adjusting the time for desired doneness.
  7. Remove from heat and let rest for a minute before slicing.
