- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic

- 1 tablespoon dried sage

- 8 cups cubed day-old bread
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 large eggs, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and pork over medium heat.
- Add the onion, celery, and garlic; sauté until tender.
- Stir in the thyme, sage, salt, and pepper.
- In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes and meat mixture.
- Pour in the chicken broth and mix in the beaten eggs until evenly combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and cover with foil.
- Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

- For extra flavor, add chopped fresh herbs.
- Can be prepared a day in advance and baked when ready.
