Description

A rich seafood stew made with various types of meat and aromatic vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef
  • 1 pound fish
  • 1 pound shrimp
  • 2 cups fish stock
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1 fennel bulb, sliced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon saffron
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon thyme


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onions, garlic, carrots, and fennel; sauté until softened.
  3. Add beef and sauté until browned.
  4. Pour in the fish stock and diced tomatoes.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, thyme, saffron, and bay leaf.
  6. Bring to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes.
  7. Add fish and shrimp; simmer until cooked through.
  8. Serve hot with crusty bread.
