Description

Delicious meatballs filled with marrow, served in a rich butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef marrow
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup beef broth


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Form mixture into meatballs, making an indentation in the center of each to fill with marrow.
  4. Fill each meatball with a small amount of beef marrow.
  5. Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through.
  6. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add beef broth and simmer.
  7. Once meatballs are cooked, transfer them to the butter sauce and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Serve hot, drizzled with the butter sauce.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
  • Serve with pasta or over rice for a complete meal.
  • These meatballs can be frozen for later use.
