Description

Marrow Caldo is a hearty soup made with nourishing beef marrow bones, perfect for warming up on a cold day.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds beef marrow bones
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the beef marrow bones and water. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add the onion, carrots, celery, garlic, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.
  3. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 2 hours.
  4. Remove the bones, and strain the soup.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Marrow Caldo can be served with bread for a complete meal.
  • Make sure to scrape the marrow from the bones for added flavor.
