Delicious and unique lamb brain fritters, whisked with egg and fried in tallow for a rich flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup tallow
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Soak the lamb brains in cold water for an hour.
  2. Remove the membranes and any impurities from the brains.
  3. Whisk the egg in a bowl.
  4. Coat the prepared brains in the whisked egg.
  5. Roll the brains in breadcrumbs, ensuring they are fully covered.
  6. Heat the tallow in a frying pan over medium heat.
  7. Fry the coated brains until golden brown on all sides.
  8. Drain on paper towels before serving.
