Description

Delicious Korean bulgogi beef wrapped in fresh lettuce leaves, perfect for a quick and healthy meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 head of butter lettuce or romaine
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, sesame seeds, and black pepper.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the marinade and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated beef for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
  4. To serve, place a few pieces of bulgogi beef in a lettuce leaf and top with julienned carrots, cucumber slices, and chopped green onions.
  5. Wrap the lettuce around the filling and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add Sriracha or gochujang to the wraps.
  • These can be served with rice on the side if desired.
