Description

Delicious and savory birria made easily in an Insta Pot.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 dried guajillo peppers
  • 2 dried ancho peppers
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • Salt to taste


Instructions

  1. Prepare the dried peppers by removing seeds and stems.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic until soft in the Insta Pot.
  3. Add beef and spices, along with the broth and vinegar.
  4. Seal the Insta Pot and cook on high pressure for 45 minutes.
  5. Let the pressure release naturally, then shred the beef.
  6. Serve in tacos or with rice.

  • You can adjust the level of spice by adding or removing peppers.
