Description

A delicious recipe for gizzards coated in a sweet and savory honey-garlic glaze, perfect for a unique appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken gizzards
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the gizzards under cold water and trim any excess fat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, vegetable oil, ground ginger, and black pepper.
  3. Add the gizzards to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Arrange the marinated gizzards on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, basting with the marinade halfway through, until the gizzards are cooked through and caramelized.
  7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of garlic and honey according to your taste.
  • These gizzards can also be grilled for a smoky flavor.
