- 2 pounds ground lamb
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb and beef with onion, garlic, herbs, spices, egg, and breadcrumbs.
- Mix until well combined, then shape the mixture into a loaf or press into a loaf pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 60-70 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Remove from oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve in pita bread with toppings of your choice.
