Description

A delicious grilled octopus dish enhanced by spicy brown butter and chorizo oil.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds octopus
  • 1/2 cup chorizo, diced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon


Instructions

  1. Grill the octopus over high heat until charred and cooked through.
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté the chorizo until crispy.
  3. In a separate pan, melt butter and mix in smoked paprika and red pepper flakes.
  4. Combine the chorizo oil with the spicy brown butter.
  5. Toss the grilled octopus in the spicy mixture and serve hot.
  6. Garnish with lemon juice and additional spices if desired.

Notes

  • Soaking the octopus in water for a few hours before cooking can help tenderize it.
