Description

Delicious grilled elk steaks topped with a flavorful sardine and anchovy butter.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 elk steaks
  • 1 can sardines, drained
  • 2 anchovy fillets
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mash together the sardines, anchovy fillets, butter, lemon juice, and parsley until well combined.
  3. Season the elk steaks with salt and pepper.
  4. Grill the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare or until desired doneness.
  5. Remove from the grill and top each steak with a generous dollop of the sardine and anchovy butter.
  6. Serve immediately.
