Description

This jambalaya recipe from Gordon Ramsay is full of flavor and includes chicken, sausage, and shrimp combined with rice and spices.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound chicken thighs, diced
  • 1 pound chorizo sausage, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cups long-grain rice
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 green onions, chopped


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken and chorizo, cooking until browned.
  3. Stir in onions, garlic, and peppers, sautéing until softened.
  4. Add rice, stirring to combine.
  5. Pour in chicken stock and add diced tomatoes and Cajun seasoning.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  7. Add shrimp and cook until they are pink and cooked through.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less Cajun seasoning according to your taste.
