Description

A rich and flavorful dish made with venison, enhanced by garlic and tallow.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds venison
  • 1/2 cup tallow
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon thyme


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, salt, black pepper, rosemary, and thyme.
  3. Rub the mixture all over the venison.
  4. In a large skillet, heat tallow over medium-high heat.
  5. Sear the venison on all sides until browned.
  6. Transfer the venison to a baking dish and roast in the oven for 1-1.5 hours or until it reaches your desired doneness.
  7. Let the meat rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
