- 1/2 cup tallow
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon rosemary
- 1 teaspoon thyme
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine minced garlic, salt, black pepper, rosemary, and thyme.
- Rub the mixture all over the venison.
- In a large skillet, heat tallow over medium-high heat.
- Sear the venison on all sides until browned.
- Transfer the venison to a baking dish and roast in the oven for 1-1.5 hours or until it reaches your desired doneness.
- Let the meat rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
