Ingredients

- 2 pounds lard
- 1 head fermented cabbage
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a roasting pan, layer the fermented cabbage at the bottom.
- Rub the lard with salt, pepper, and minced garlic.
- Place the seasoned lard on top of the cabbage.
- Cover the pan with foil and roast in the oven for 2 hours.
- Remove the foil and roast for an additional 30 minutes to brown the top.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

- This dish is best served with hearty bread.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
