- 4 egg yolks
- 1 cup beef tallow
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
- 1 clove garlic, smashed
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
- In a small saucepan, melt beef tallow over low heat.
- Place the egg yolks gently into a small baking dish.
- Pour melted tallow over the yolks, ensuring they are fully submerged.
- Add salt, thyme, and garlic to the dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, until yolks are set but still tender.
- Let cool, then store in the fridge.
