Description

This delicious crispy pork shoulder is glazed with a rich mustard butter, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 pounds pork shoulder
  • 1 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine Dijon mustard, melted butter, honey, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  3. Rub the pork shoulder with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the pork in a roasting pan and pour the mustard mixture over the top.
  5. Cover with foil and roast for 5-6 hours, until tender.
  6. Remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) for the last 30 minutes to crisp the skin.
  7. Let rest for 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
