Ingredients

- 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the smoked sausage over medium heat until browned.
- Add the bell pepper, onion, and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, and stir in the Cajun seasoning.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and add the cooked fettuccine.
- Mix in the cheese until melted and combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add more Cajun seasoning.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated.
