Description

A delicious blend of pasta and spicy sausage in a creamy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese


Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the smoked sausage over medium heat until browned.
  3. Add the bell pepper, onion, and garlic, cooking until softened.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, and stir in the Cajun seasoning.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer and add the cooked fettuccine.
  6. Mix in the cheese until melted and combined.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add more Cajun seasoning.
