Description

Deliciously flaky biscuits filled with flavorful crawfish, perfect as an appetizer or a main dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound crawfish tails
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the crawfish, cheese, and green onions.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add milk and stir until just combined.
  5. Roll out the dough and cut into circles. Place a spoonful of the crawfish mixture on half of the circles, then top with the other half.
  6. Seal the edges and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, add some hot sauce to the crawfish mixture.
