Description

Delicious and festive, this Christmas Crown of Pork is filled with a rich bacon stuffing that will impress your guests.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 crown roast of pork
  • 8 ounces bacon, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 4 cups bread cubes
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook bacon until crispy; remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onion and celery until soft.
  4. In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, bacon, onion, celery, chicken broth, and seasonings.
  5. Stuff the crown roast with the mixture.
  6. Place the roast in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
  7. Roast in the preheated oven for about 2.5 hours, removing the foil for the last 30 minutes.
  8. Let rest before slicing and serving.

  • Make sure to let the roast rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
